I feel like a lot of the people here miss the big picture and full scope of the art world.

Ray Caesar is a digital artist…

This makes me want to punch something.  The “feasible art world”?  Are you serious?  Hey there’s this great thing called the media—you know, movies, television, video games—all those things that require digital art.
You know what I’m sick of?  People getting up on their god damn high horses about traditional versus digital art.  Art is art, regardless of whether or not you illustrated something using a Wacom or oils.  I’m sick of people making stupid posts like this implying that unless you’re in a gallery show or a museum, your work is something to be scoffed at.
And yes—Ray Caesar is a digital artist.  JFC.

Much to my frustration, it seems that artists are so stubbornly loyal to whatever little art bubble they belong to.  There is a whole wide world of art and artists out there and to say definitively that “this art is better or more important” is short-sided.  In the end, no one is a complete authority on the classification or importance of art.
The OP would have been more “correct” in saying “the gallery art world…” because this is true; galleries and fine art venues are less accepting of digital art but this is based mostly on business.  There will always be a better market for original paintings than digital prints and there is nothing that will change that.  However, that’s only one path that is available to an artist and there is more to “the art world” than just being a part of that circuit.
Also…if you’re going to make claims like that, at least know what you’re talking about.  :/

I dont even like the work “art” to begin with, called it wathever, i do what i do. Why on earth would i need validation from a smalll group of people´s whos scene have nothing to do with me?.
